Packing for Winter Travel
If you are planning to spend the holidays with some relatives, you might have realised by now that travelling light during the winter months is not an easy task. However, if you determine the essential items that you need to bring along before hand, you are more likely to lessen your chances of stuffing too many bulky coats, gloves, and hats inside your luggage.
In order to determine which articles of clothing you need to bring, begin by evaluating the length of time that you will be travelling and staying at your intended destination. With this as a basis, keep your selections down to one or two major outfits per day. Bring pieces that you can mix and match so everything and anything can be worn together.
Maximise the space that you have in your trunk by rolling articles of clothing that are not so thick. You can shape them into a travel tortilla by simple laying an item down on a flat surface. Once that is done, you can then tuck in the extraneous bits and then roll them up tightly. Also, avoid packing three black sweaters if having them in three different styles is not much of a necessity. Instead pack an extra scarf, broach or other accessory that you can adorn a vest with to give it different looks.
