Hotels often include a service charge of 15% to 18% that are added to the bill. However, it is already customary to provide extra tip even if the service charge is already included. Here are some guides on tipping as discussed by Italiantourism.com:
- Chambermaid 0.75 € a day
- Concierge 1.00 € additional tip for extra services
- Bellhop or porter: 0.50 – 1.00 €
- Doorman (for calling a cab) 0.25 €
- Room service waiter 0.50 € minimum or more depending on amount of bill
- Valet service 0.50 € minimum
- Hotel bar: 15%
